Nepal Village Tour around Kathmandu Pokhara

Day 01 : Arrival + Village tour:

You will meet our office representative with displaying your name card at the arrival gate of the Kathmandu airport. Our representative will transfer to hotel. You will be served by welcome drinks at the hotel. After refreshment our English speaking tour guide will pick up you from the hotel and drive by a private car with driver for Village tour. You will visit “Khokana village”, “Bungamati village” & “Chovar”. Evening drive back to hotel and overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.


Khokana, a traditional and tiny Newari village eight kilometers south of Kathmandu (on the outskirts of Patan), which has its own history and has retained its tradition and culture. It is a living museum and recalls medieval times. The farming community of Newars who live here are mostly dependent on agriculture and much of their daily activities take place outside of their dwellings.


10km from Kathmandu to south stands a small but graceful Bungamati village which dwell hundreds of master wood carvers and sculpture producers. Visitors often encounter with smiling teeth and welcoming hand of artisans working in their house, offering their artifacts. Regardless of the rapid changes in lifestyle of the urban population and the globalized way of living, the Bungamati locals have remained untouched by modern waves and are living the life that they know best –simply rural — from the past several centuries.


Carved out of a hillside, the Chovar gorge is the only outlet for all the waters of the valley. Legend has it that Manjushree, an ancient saint cut the mountain with his magical sword, to drain out the water from the Kathmandu Valley which was then just a lake. There is a small but picturesque temple of Adinath on the top of the hill with a magnificent view of the snow capped peaks. Just beyond the gorge is a temple of lord Ganesh. The main image of the shrine is a massive rock, naturally carved.

Day 02 : Drive to Bandipur village:

Get up early in the morning and have a breakfast then drive to Bandipur (143 Kilometer / 5 hours). Bandipur is a Newari historical village with unique settlements. Bandipur village is untouched by modernization and laced with an abundance of ancient houses. You will find temples of great significance and historical architecture. Overnight at hotel in Bandipur.

Day 03 : Drive to Pokhara and visit Kalikastan, Thulakot & Chitrak village:

After breakfast, drive to we drive to Pokhara (80 Kilometer / 3 hours). After arrival at the hotel in Pokhara you will drive from to Kalikastan (an hour) which is a Village Development Committee in near from Pokhara. Thulakot, Chitrakot are the nearest historically important neatest villages located near Kalikastan. Moreover, Thulakot and Chitrakot both top-hills are very attractive for village tourism activities.The view from Kalikastan is incredible, as the peaks of the Annapurna and the Machhapuchhre (fish tail) are clearly visible from here. Evening drive back to hotel and overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 04 : Visit Sarangkot Village, Manakamana Village and drive back to Kathamndu:

Today get up early in the morning and have a breakfast. After your breakfast, you will visit “Sarangkot village” after a short visit you will drive to Kathmandu (200 Kilometer / 6 hours) by a private vehicle with driver watching the country side, mountains, beautiful community villages and green hills and following the rivers for a while. One way you will stop at the Kurintar then you will visit Manakamana Village by a cable car (15 minutes). Explore around the village with Manakamana Temple (the goddess of wish fulfilling). After that will back by the cable car and continue drive to Kathmandu. Evening you will get in Kathmandu and check in hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 05 : Departure from Kathmandu:

Morning you will have a breakfast rest time free. We will drop you at the airport as per your flight time.
